Getting Started
How long should my recording be?
We recommend 60-90 minutes of recording for a complete memoir. You can record in multiple sessions if that's more comfortable. The more content you provide, the richer your book will be.
What should I talk about?
Start with the stories that matter most to you. Talk about childhood memories, career milestones, family traditions, life lessons, and pivotal moments. Our AI will ask follow-up questions to fill in details.
Can I pause and resume recording?
Yes! You can pause your recording at any time and resume when you're ready. You can also create multiple recording sessions for different life chapters.
What audio quality do I need?
A quiet room with your phone or computer microphone works well. Avoid background noise like TV, traffic, or other conversations. External microphones can improve quality but aren't required.
Book Creation
How long does it take to get my book?
After recording, transcription takes about 10-15 minutes. Follow-up questions are generated within an hour. Once you answer them and approve the outline, chapter drafts are ready in 24-48 hours.
Can I edit the AI-generated chapters?
Absolutely! Every chapter goes through your rich text editor where you can add, remove, or modify any content. You have full control over the final result.
What's the difference between Authentic and Polished voice modes?
Authentic mode preserves your natural speaking patterns, phrases, and storytelling style. Polished mode smooths grammar and structure while maintaining your voice. You can toggle between them for each chapter.
How long is the finished book?
A typical 60-90 minute recording produces a 100-150 page book. The final length depends on your content, photos, and editing choices.

Is there a free trial?
We offer a free tier that lets you create one project with limited recording time. This lets you experience the full workflow before upgrading.
What's the difference between Starter, Plus, and Pro?
Starter ($49) gives you 1 project with 2 hours of recording. Plus ($99) includes 3 projects with 5 hours each. Pro ($199) offers unlimited projects, 10 hours per project, and priority AI processing.
Is this a subscription or one-time payment?
All our plans are one-time payments, not subscriptions. Pay once and create your book with no recurring fees.
What's your refund policy?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied within 30 days of purchase and haven't exported a completed book, contact support for a full refund.
Exporting & Sharing
What export formats are available?
You can export your book as PDF (for printing or viewing), EPUB (for e-readers like Kindle), or both. Print-ready PDFs include proper margins and formatting for book printing services.
Can I print physical copies?
Yes! Export your book as a print-ready PDF and use any print-on-demand service like Blurb, Lulu, or Amazon KDP to create beautiful hardcover or paperback copies.
Can I share my book with family?
Absolutely. You own your book completely. Share the PDF, send the EPUB, or print copies for everyone in your family.
How long are download links valid?
Export download links are valid for 24 hours for security. You can always generate new exports from your dashboard at any time.
Privacy & Security
Who can access my recordings and book?
Only you. Your content is private by default. We use encryption at rest and in transit. Our AI processes your content but doesn't store or share it beyond what's needed for the service.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
All your data—recordings, transcripts, chapters, and exports—is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion. We don't retain any personal content.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We never see or store your full credit card number.
Do you use my stories to train AI?
No. Your personal stories are never used to train AI models. Our AI providers (OpenAI for transcription, Anthropic for generation) process your content but don't train on it.
Collaboration
Can family members contribute to my book?
Yes! With Plus and Pro plans, you can invite collaborators. They can add comments, suggest edits, or contribute their own stories to enrich the memoir.
Can multiple people record stories?
Yes. Create separate recording sessions for different family members. The AI will help weave multiple perspectives into a cohesive narrative.
How do I invite a collaborator?
Go to your project settings and add their email address. They'll receive an invitation to view or contribute based on the role you assign.
